History
In the painting a young woman is portrayed facing to the left, her face turned three-quarters; her eyes seem to be pointed directly at the observer. The young woman wears a yellow dress and a blue turban on her head; the fabric is knotted at the top and part of it falls behind her back. Her eyes are large and expressive, her lips red and slightly parted. He also wears a large pearl in his left ear that reflects in the shadows. Finally, the background is very dark, almost black. The most prevalent colour in the painting is the very dark, almost black brown of the background. From this colour, the portrait of the girl emerges in brightness. Then, the light-coloured dress and the sash that descends from the nape of her neck. While the fabric she wears around her forehead is cobalt blue. The complexion is pink ochre with dark brown shadows. Finally, the lips are coloured bright red.
