The Marriage of the Virgin
In 2021, a room - workshop in the model of a real Renaissance workshop was set up as part of the exhibition "Young Raphael and His Look." Here, the Bottega Tifernate recreated the "Marriage of the Virgin" before the eyes of visitors. After a careful study of the original, preserved at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, a photographic take consisting of more than 600 mild shots was made to recompose the entire work. All this, will help the artists of the Bottega Tifernate to reconstruct every smallest aesthetic and chromatic detail of the original using the same pigments and materials used by Raffaello (some colors will be reconstructed with plants that can only be found in Umbria). It is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2022. The work will be donated by the Bottega Tifernate to the townspeople and will have a place of honor in a room of the municipal picture gallery.
